Hawaii Consumer/Survivor/Expatient Organizations

United Self-Help is a consumer-run nonprofit organization which provides services for people with mental illness in Hawaii. This agency provides support groups and other services which help improve the quality of life for consumers in Hawaii. A consumer of services is a new term for a person with mental illness. United Self-Help is funded by the state government and private contributions. The staff, volunteers and majority of the board of directors are from the population served.
